Businesses are sold across the globe today with an online presence. While building a website can might seem difficult, you always have WordPress to facilitate your needs in the online world. WordPress the open source content management system allows you to “Do It Yourself”.
WordPress provides maximum flexibility, easy to use templates and designs, inbuilt features to develop and publish your website. With its recent updates, WordPress recently launched the WordPress 5.2 “Jaco”.
The new version is loaded with features like Site Health Checkup allowing you to spot any configuration and fatal errors. This feature provides two new additional pages- one to debug common configuration issue and another where developers can add “debugging” information for website managers.
For owners without any developer resource, WordPress 5.2 allows you to safely fix and manage fatal errors with the PHP error protection feature. Also, for all the owners without developers you now have the Recovery Mode. Previously, if your site was experiencing technical difficulties or you got a white screen of death during an update, you would have to access your site via FTP. Well, WordPress 5.2 now provides a special login link for all administrators to access the dashboard in Recovery mode and undo any changes that might have triggered the error bypassing the FTP. It offers a much simplified and informed process.
To add, PHP version 5.6.20 is the minimum supported version by WordPress 5.2. Also, the new version has an updated editor. Yet, while the new editor is faster, it can be slow in case of lengthier articles. However, typing feels much responsive with the new feature.
WordPress 5.2 now provides 13 new dashboard icons, including one for Instagram and BuddyPress. It also provides automatic checks to determine if the website version of PHP is compatible with the installed plugins.
